Let’s print in Leipzig 4

group exhibition at the Printing Art Museum
19.09. – 21.11.2022

With “Let’s print in Leipzig 4,” the Museum for Print Leipzig, in cooperation with three Leipzig print workshops, is once again bringing the intangible cultural heritage of printing techniques to life. For the fourth time, an artists’ workshop (Sept. 6 to 17, 2021) followed by an exhibition (Sept. 19 to Nov. 21, 2021) will showcase contemporary printmaking and the process of its creation.

The special feature of the workshop is its experimental format. Only in the historic workshops of the Museum für Druckkunst can three different printing techniques, letterpress, intaglio and planographic printing, be used artistically at the same time. This enables completely new forms of graphic expression. The printing workshop is open to the public as part of the 9th Leipzig Days of Industrial Culture from September 9 to 12.

Afterwards, the exhibition “Let’s print in Leipzig 4” will show the results of the work as well as other graphic works by the participating artists.

Debora Ando (Dortmund), Meik Brüsch (Copenhagen / Denmark), Lauriane Dine (Leipzig), Tobias Gellscheid (Halle / Saale), Lucas Kaiser (Leipzig), Mandy Kunze (Leipzig), Alexander Mick (Hannover), Maren Oehling (Leipzig) and Ausma Šmite (Riga, Latvia).
