Balance your blue
Throw your blue, copper and metal bar, plaster, coloured pencil
3 x 2 x 2.50 m
2019
Presented in an old garage with a damp, dark atmosphere, this installation Balance your blue seeks to make
enter a landscape where there is none. The cut-out elements, painted deep blue and etched with white lines, evoke mountains, ridge lines or waterways. On the stained ground, the shapes seem to float, slide or settle like drops. The upright stems carry light, almost effaced silhouettes that extend this imaginary landscape upwards.
In this enclosed space, with its few openings, the installation recomposes a dreamed-of exterior: a fragmented landscape, absorbed by the humidity of the place, between condensation, memory and projection.
